And the winner is...

Sarah Burton for
Alexander McQueen

After months of waiting, and a zip lipped ping pong match going on between the tabloids and a number of British designers, it was revealed that Sarah Burton for McQueen designed one of the most highly anticpated garments of the century.

It is bound to set a new mood for fashion. Grace Kelly 2.0. Classic style, modern designer, this gown was a winner from the start.

The Stats: (which i'm sure you all know by now)

-Ivory satin with a sweetheart neckline, covered in lace created by the royal school of needlework, it featured the rose, the thistle, the daffodil and the shamrock.

-Skirt echoed an opening flower, with a number of arches and pleats

-The train was 2.7meters long

-The veil was ivory silk tulle, held in place by a Cartier tiara loaned from the queen (the bitch has jewels)

-Pippa Middleton's Bridesmaid dress was also McQueen, a figure hugging, cowl neck dress, echoing details from the wedding gown

And yes, that was Sarah Burton who was adjusting the train at the church, now thats dedication.

let it be said... God bless McQueen.
